Information on the Connect Del Rio Newspaper

A Difficult Goodbye:

Earlier this year we launched the newspaper. We've received numerous calls on how much you all have enjoyed reading content by our passionate and great Journalists. We're thankful for your support and kind words and are sure you're going to love the jam-packed issue coming out tomorrow morning.

After tomorrow's issue gets delivered to your home, we will be shutting down the newspaper portion of our business.

We are currently in a difficult situation with the other business owner.

I created this website and innovative tool for the community and own it at 60% while the other business owner owns %40. Unfortunately, she has made it very difficult to reclaim my dream back and has had no communication with me nor has she maintained her duty to the business for almost 2 months now.

She is charging a price that I, nor the person she promised a portion of her shares to, that is impossible for either of us to pay at this time. ($100,000. Our business makes nowhere near this amount and does not own nowhere near this amount.)

Because of this situation and the complexities that go beyond this, we are unable to continue to run the newspaper.

While our business was poised for growth prior to this unfortunate situation; I am stuck and torn between running a business that benefits someone who has abandoned Connect Del Rio and the passionate staff that work hard every day to provide some of the best content in the community and continuing a dream that is shared by our team and I. Rest assured I am working hard to ensure we continue as best we can.

It's breaks my heart more than you can imagine that this decision has had to be made and I hope to continue forward and learn from this.

Many of Del Rio's local customers, business owners, and friends see my vehicle outside the Connect Del Rio Studios working late into the next morning and have brought me snacks and drinks. This has always warmed my heart and does not go unnoticed. Thank you.

GOING FORWARD:

All subscriptions will be refunded to you via your payment method or sent to your address via cash over the next few months as we recuperate from this unfortunate event.

We are in the process of canceling subscriptions today and tomorrow and if you were charged you will be refunded as soon as possible.
