Army Vet’s Passion Sparks Memorial Day Gathering at H-E-B
On April 7, 2003, Pam Fellers was joking around with a fellow serviceman, Specialist George A. Mitchell, just south of Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Thirty minutes later, Spc. Mitchell would be struck by an enemy rocket, killing him at 35 years old. This Memorial Day, Spc. Mitchell, and other fallen servicemen and women, were enshrined with photos inside of H-E-B on a ‘Wall of Honor’, thanks to the efforts of Fellers.

Lightning Strike Believed to Spark Fire That Gutted Hwy 90 Home, Family Requests Privacy
An 85-year-old homeowner is unharmed after her house, located off Hwy 90 near Lakeview, became engulfed in flames during last night’s storm. Sources close to the situation are reporting that the cause of the fire was a lightning strike. Video of the fire shows the home’s second floor appearing to be completely engulfed as firefighters battled the flames overnight.

The City of Del Rio council members voted to enact "Noise and Sound Level Regulations" on Tuesday, which outlines unacceptable noise levels partly on the basis of their decibel measurement, though primarily on the judgement of individual officers' "common sense".
